Testnet demo on Whitechain Sepolia: test tokens (ITC) only, no real money. Requests are served by a real open-weight model on the founder's machine when it is online, otherwise by a demo seller that returns canned responses.
Inferit

Draft — pending legal review

This text describes how the testnet service works today. It has not been reviewed by counsel yet and may change before any mainnet launch.

Terms of use

Last updated 4 October 2026.

These terms govern your use of the Inferit website, API and smart contracts on the Whitechain Sepolia test network (together, the "service"), operated by the Inferit project team ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to them.

1. Testnet only, no monetary value

  • The service runs on Whitechain Sepolia, a public test network. It is a demonstration and development service, not a commercial offering.
  • ITC (Inferit Test Credit) and test WBT have no monetary value. They cannot be bought from us, sold, redeemed or exchanged for money or any other asset, and nothing in the service is an offer to do so. Prices shown in dollars are test units (1 ITC counts as one test dollar).
  • Do not send real funds or tokens from any main network to any address shown in the service.
  • We may pause, reset, redeploy or retire the contracts, the API and its database at any time. Test balances, keys and usage history may be lost when that happens.

2. What the service is

Inferit is a marketplace that routes OpenAI-compatible inference requests from buyers to independent sellers who serve open-weight models from their own infrastructure, and settles usage through the MarketEscrow contract on Whitechain. Sellers are third parties, not our agents or subcontractors. We do not run the models, do not control what a seller's server returns, and do not review model outputs. Outputs can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your purpose; you are responsible for how you use them.

3. Provided as is, without warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability or security. In particular:

  • The smart contracts are unaudited testnet software. Their documentation describes how they are designed to behave; bugs may make them behave differently.
  • Settlement on Whitechain is final only once its block is finalized; earlier states can in principle be reorganised. See Finality.
  • Public blockchains, wallets, RPC endpoints, explorers and faucets are operated by third parties and may fail or change.

4. Acceptable use

The Acceptable use policy is part of these terms. If you break it, or these terms, we may revoke your API keys, stop routing requests to or from your account, delist your offers and report unlawful activity to the authorities.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your wallet and API keys secure. You are responsible for activity under your keys and wallet.
  • Set spending caps you are comfortable with; within your cap, charges follow the metered usage reported for your requests.
  • Sellers must have the right to serve the models they list under those models' licences, must run the endpoint they list themselves (no resale of another provider's API), and must not log, retain or train on buyer requests.
  • Do not send personal data, secrets or other sensitive content in prompts: sellers see prompts in plain text.

6. Eligibility and restricted jurisdictions

You must be at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms. You may not use the service if you are located in, or a resident or national of, a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are listed on, or owned or controlled by someone listed on, a sanctions list maintained by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom or the United States. You may not use the service to evade sanctions or export controls.

7. No financial advice, no affiliation

Nothing in the service is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Inferit is an independent project built on Whitechain. It is not operated, endorsed or sponsored by the owners of the Whitechain network unless they say so; their names are used only to identify the network.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, tokens or goodwill, arising from or related to the service. Because the testnet service is free and its tokens have no value, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the greatest extent the applicable law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes and termination

We may change these terms, or change, suspend or end the service, at any time. The date at the top shows the latest version; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. You may stop using the service at any time.

10. Governing law

The governing law and the courts for disputes will be stated in the reviewed version of these terms. Until then, these terms are interpreted under the law that applies to the operator's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
